The NCC Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) is a joint enterprise between the National Caravan Council (NCC), The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club. It is the benchmark for touring caravan and motorhome servicing.
To be a member of the AWS, workshops and mobile engineers must pass regular assessments by a team of independent assessors and comply with the AWS’s rigorous standards.
Caravan Industry Training Organisation (CITO) is part of SkillsActive. CITO's programme of work continues to be supported and guided by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association and the National Caravan Council (NCC) on behalf of the UK Caravan, Holiday and Residential Parks Industry. CITO's core programme of work includes development, maintenance of qualifications and standards in the caravan industry.

Important information and advice
Please note all comments and recommendations noted on service report.
Any gas appliance identified as not safe to use must not be used until repaired or replaced.
Do not use any disposable barbecue or portable gas appliances within the caravan, motorhome or awning. As part of a gas safety check, background Carbon Monoxide is monitored and recorded on the service report. The monitoring is performed with all room sealed gas appliances running.
If you suspect a gas appliance has developed a fault immediately turn off appliance, close the appliance isolation valve and close the gas bottle control valve. Ventilate the caravan / motor home by opening windows, roof lights and doors. Do not re-light or use suspected faulty appliance.

Wheel Nut and tyre pressures
It is strongly advised that customers recheck the tightness of wheel nuts before all journeys and again after the first 20 miles to prevent possible loss of road wheel.
Tyre pressures should be checked before all journeys. Tyre pressures can be found in your owners manual.
Whilst every effort has been made by WCS in the service / inspection of your Caravan / Motor home to ensure you have a trouble free year, the service / inspection is only valid on the day of the service and does not imply any warranty, guarantee, or life expectancy of the caravan / motor home or appliances and fittings. Damp ingress inspection and report is done to the best of my ability, WCS will not be held liable for any omissions or subsequent findings not identified in the damp ingress report.
Caravans and Motorhomes under manufacturer's warranty. It is not the responsibility of WCS to seek approval from your purchasing dealer or manufacturer of your caravan or motorhome before undertaking any service or repairs. WCS will advise the customer to satisfy themselves that their warranty will not be effected by any work undertaken by WCS and for them to contact their dealer for advice.
Winter drain down procedures are: open hot water drain taps / plugs. Then open all hot and cold taps including shower and unscrew shower hose and leave flat in shower tray. Drain down toilet header tank and briefly activate toilet pump (no more that 5 seconds). Drain internal water tanks and again briefly turn on internal water pump (no more that 5 seconds).
Following these guidelines will minimise the risk of frost damage

Our priority is the safety and well-being of customers, site staff and ourselves. With your help we can work safely and minimise the risk of infection and the spread of infection. At all times taking all reasonable steps to maintain physical 2 meter distance. The caravan must not be occupied 24hrs prior to our visit, If this is not adhered too we will not enter the caravan or continue with the service.
Conditions of servicing your caravan
We will remove any wheel security and hitch security locks if required and replace after the service. We will not remove security tie down chains or straps.
Ensure the caravan / motorhome has sufficient access all around and that cupboards, lockers and floor areas are as empty as possible.
The caravan / motorhome is on level ground with 2m clear access all around and 1m overhead

Leisure battery fully charged and connected
The toilet cassette has been emptied, cleaned and sanitised
There is a working battery in the smoke and CO alarms
For a full road touring service or caravans under manufacturers warranty the following additional requirements apply:
Awnings and porches must be removed
Security tie downs and chains must be removed prier to our visit. (we will not remove them)
PLEASE NOTE: There must be no decking, ornaments or obstructions which prevent safely jacking of the caravan. If items are found which prevent us from safely jacking the caravan or security lock keys are not available or awning is erected or tie down straps have not been removed or the ground is not level, a visual inspection of the tyres and brakes will be performed.
WCS Warranty Policy
WCS (Williams Caravan Services). Offers 12 months warranty on workmanship and repairs to our customers. This does not in any way affect you statutory rights.
New parts warranty is in accordance with the manufacturers own warranty terms. Fault parts will be returned to the manufacturer for testing and their decision is final (if you want a copy of the suppliers warranty please ask at time of purchase)
Electronic repairs are warranted by the company carrying out the repair and on the repair part ONLY not the complete unit.
Refurbished parts. We do not fit refurbished parts, only manufactures exchange units. Warranty is in accordance with the manufacturers own warranty terms. Fault parts will be returned to the manufacturer for testing and their decision is final.
Customer supplied parts or Second hand parts:
We do not fit or supply customer supplied parts or second hand parts as we are unable to warrant the work or parts.
Labour and Workmanship
The scope of warranty is “rectification of faulty workmanship” known as ROFWO and is valid for a 12 month period.
- All warranty claims must be reported promptly in writing to WCS
- Any warranty repair must be authorised by WCS
- Retrospective warranty claims will not be accepted
- Warranty will not extend to consequential damage
- Normal wear and tear is not covered by warranty
- Failure caused by misuse or abuse will invalidate all warranty
WCS conducts its own complaints procedure
